The menu was kinda boring. We ordered a pizza and breadstix there once and I'll tell you now I'll never want to eat there again. I was NOT impressed. The pizza was small and doughy it got super hard when it cooled down. It was expensive and overrated. This place suxs like the menu.

I've been to Doughboys a few times and it's really nothing special. The pizzas and paninis are okay and the pasta is really hit-or-miss. I have had a couple decent soups and salads that I enjoyed.
Also tried their brunch menu and was disappointed by the limited offerings (you're called Doughboys but don't serve pizza for brunch?).
The wait staff is usually very attentive and they have a few outdoor tables but the space is small and can get pretty loud.
It's not bad and it's significantly better than Potomac Pizza but there are several better choices in the Kentlands.

For a place called DOUGHboys, I think these guys should change up their recipe!
I tried to cut a slice of pizza and the crust was so dry and crisp that it snapped the whole pie. It tasted like a thin cardboard. My 7 year old nephew who loves pizza didn't even finish his ONE slice.
My brothers ravioli was undercooked and engulfed by an ocean of flavorless marinara.
My mother and I ordered paninis: 80% of the panini consisted of the cardboard bread. The remaining portion was just ordinary (I ordered the roasted vegi and my mother ordered the chipotle chicken).
I think food not only has to taste good, but it hast to LOOK good. This place failed both categories.
Very disappointing because I took my family here for my brother's birthday. Left completely unsatisfied.

I went to Doughboys for lunch and it was excellent (say it like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons). I got their $10.00 lunch special which included a personal pizza, soup, and a drink. The pizza was delish and the soup (chicken chili) was excellent and served with some bread.
They make the pizza fresh so leave some extra time if you go during your lunch break. Also, it's a little place so go a little early to avoid a lunch crowd and snag a table.

Yeah, I don't really get it. I was here for a late lunch.
The place is confusing. It's a little place with nice booths and tables. It's not clear if it's table service or wait service. The menus are one place, the cash register is another and the drink station is right next to the cash registers, kinda like a service station.
I had a veggie panini, I wasn't super impression. The flavors were good, but it was really sloppy and runny. The dressing on it, was a runny mayo with red pepper in it. Not the "red pepper spread" I had hoped for as per the menu.
The green salad was simple and the dressing was good. My panini and iced tea was $11.11. A little pricey I thought.
I noticed a few other diners' plates and nothing looked fabulous. It all looked pretty pedestrian. I think I'll pass next time.

I can't believe I'm the first yelper to review Doughboys! It is by far the best place to eat in all of the Kentlands, and perhaps in all of Gaithersburg.
I don't think you would believe me if I told you how often my husband, friends, and I eat there. We call it our 'second kitchen.' In January 2007 they suffered severe fire damage and closed down for almost 6 months--many tears were shed.I am happy to report that Doughboys just reopened and they are back and better than ever.
Every ingredient is fresh--the wood fire oven does wonders to their pizza and pannini. Spinach Artichoke dip, Greek Salad, and iced tea = the perfect meal. The service is always friendly--the owners make you feel right at home...and now we have Jazz Brunch and BBQs on Sundays to enjoy!
